A special thanks also to Jim Downs for his very generous, ongoing support, of Wild Bird Rescues GOLD COAST. Donations are the lifeblood of this rescue service and so it is with great appreciation that I acknowledge Jim's generosity.

Marlene Ashton and Denise Cox raise money through Trash and Treasure and give it to wildlife organisations. Their partnership, known as Animal Allies, has been a generous donor to WBRGC. Much appreciated girls!

Our accountant, Kevin Ridgway of Clear Island Waters, Gold Coast, has been very generous with his time and advice and his work is meticulous.

Michael Dickinson of Australian Wildlife & Feral Management had generously lent me his net gun. This proved to be a valuable capture tool . The opportunity to 'try before I buy' resulted in several captures that might have otherwise been impossible.

Vet Services
Currumbin Wildlife Hospital
Those of us in wildlife rescue on the Gold Coast would be lost without the wonderful veterinary work provided by Currumbin Wildlife Hospital. An extension of Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary the hospital treats between 20 and 40 sick or injured native birds and animals every day. This invaluable service is provided free of charge. The hospital is located on the opposite side of the Gold Coast Highway from the Sanctuary, in Millers Drive. It is open 8am-5pm everyday of the year except for Christmas Day. (07)55340813
Gold Coast Vets
All Gold Coast Vets will assess sick or injured wildlife for free. Vets that I visit regularly and would like to acknowledge are ...
Dr. Kevin and his team at the Gold Coast Vet Surgery, corner of the Gold Coast Hyw and Monte Carlo Av. Surfers Paradise, have always been most helpful whenever I've needed an opinion or treatment for a native bird. Their concern and care for wildlife is outstanding. I could not recommend this veterinary practice more highly. (07) 5538 5909
The staff at Greencross Vets, cnr Mudgeeraba and Worongary Rd, Mudgeeraba have always been very helpful whenever I've needed assistance with wildlife. The clinic is open 7 days a week. (07) 55305555
Dr. Rob at Vetcall, 2/2 Executive Drive, Burleigh Waters, has a special interest in native birds and has been most generous with his time when assessing and treating injured wildlife. (07) 5593 5557
